Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how LocumD.com and the owner/operator of the LocumD platform (“LocumD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, retain and protect information when you visit locumd.com, communicate with us or use our matching and introduction services.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information processed through the public LocumD website, matching inquiries, email communications and related Services. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of providers, healthcare organizations, payers or third-party services with which you interact. It also does not convert LocumD into a healthcare provider or establish that public LocumD channels are designed to receive PHI.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name; professional contact information; organization; job title or role; specialty; professional qualifications; geographic preferences; availability; coverage needs; payer-network interests; communications with us; information included in a matching request; and transaction or payment-related information where a paid service is used.
Professional and publicly available information
Where reasonably necessary for matching, verification, platform integrity or business operations, we may receive professional information from public records, professional directories, licensing or credentialing sources, organizational websites, or information provided by counterparties.
Information collected automatically
When you use the website, servers and service providers may automatically receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages requested, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, security events and similar log data.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
LocumD and service providers may use cookies, local storage, server logs and similar technologies for functions such as site operation, security, fraud prevention, remembering preferences, measuring traffic and understanding how the Services are used. Cookies may be session-based or persistent. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect functionality.
If we introduce analytics, advertising or other technologies that require additional notice, consent or opt-out mechanisms under applicable law, we will provide those mechanisms as required. We do not state that we “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless our actual practices support such a disclosure.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to: provide and operate the Services; respond to inquiries; identify potentially relevant provider, facility or payer-network connections; facilitate introductions requested by participants; communicate about matches and Services; verify or maintain the integrity of professional information; process payments; secure, troubleshoot and prevent abuse of the Services; analyze and improve site performance and user experience; maintain business records; enforce agreements; protect rights, safety and property; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for lawful business purposes, provided we maintain it in a form not reasonably intended to identify an individual where required by applicable law.
5. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information: (a) to potential matching counterparties when reasonably relevant to a requested provider, facility or payer-network introduction; (b) to service providers and processors that support hosting, security, email, analytics, communications, payment processing, professional services or other operations; (c) in corporate transactions such as financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy or sale of assets; (d) for legal and safety reasons when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process or governmental request, enforce agreements, investigate abuse or protect rights, safety or property; and (e) with your direction or consent.
We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for purposes unrelated to the services they provide to us except as permitted by applicable law and contract.
6. No Patient PHI Through Public Channels
Do not send patient protected health information, medical records or patient identifiers to [email protected] or through public LocumD channels. The public Services are designed for professional workforce and network matching, not patient care. If LocumD later offers a separately designated workflow for regulated health information, that workflow may be governed by additional terms, notices and agreements.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing Services, maintaining matching and business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, protecting against fraud or abuse, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting or compliance obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the relationship, applicable law and operational need. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information where permitted by law.
8. Data Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. No Internet transmission, email, storage system or security measure is guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside and whether an applicable privacy law covers the relevant processing, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal data, and to opt out of certain processing such as qualifying sales, targeted advertising or profiling. You may also have a right to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request.
To submit a privacy request or appeal, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before acting. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. If a law requires an additional request method, we will make it available.
10. Texas Privacy Rights
To the extent the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies to our processing, eligible Texas consumers may exercise the rights provided by that Act, subject to its definitions, exceptions and limitations. Requests and appeals may be submitted using the contact method above. We process personal data only for purposes reasonably necessary and compatible with the purposes disclosed here, unless additional consent or another lawful basis is obtained where required.
11. Children
The Services are intended for adults and professional users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through the Services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can evaluate and take appropriate action.
12. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may link to or rely on third parties. Information you provide directly to a third party is governed by that party's privacy practices. We encourage you to review applicable third-party notices before providing information.
13. International Users
LocumD is directed principally to the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
14. Business Transfers
Information associated with the Services may be disclosed or transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets or similar transaction, subject to applicable law and any required notices.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our Services, practices, technology or legal obligations. We will post the revised Policy with an updated effective date and provide additional notice or consent where required by law. Material changes apply prospectively as required by applicable law.
